Front brake is rubbing on both sides of the wheelUpdated a month ago

When the front brake is rubbing on both sides of the wheel, it's likely the front fork needs to be rotated to unwrap the brake cables.

  • If the brake arms are facing the back of the bike, remove the handlebar, rotate the wheel 180 degrees so the brake arms are in the front, then reinstall the handlebar.
  • If the brake arms are facing the front of the bike, just rotate the fork 360 degrees the correct way so all cables are untwisted. Check out this video for help: 360 degrees.
You want all the cables in the front of the bike to be unwrapped and straight in front of the bike.
Once the cables are untwisted, the front wheel should spin freely & the brakes will no longer lock-up.

Make sure to hook up the steering limiter once the cables are straight!
