How to Adjust the Brake Lever ReachUpdated 14 days ago

Adjusting the brake lever reach is a simple process and can help make the brake levers easier and more comfortable for your rider to use, especially for smaller hands.

What You’ll Need:

    •    The 2mm Allen key (included in your tool kit)

Steps to Adjust:

    1.    Use the 2mm Allen key to turn the small reach adjustment screw on the brake lever.

    2.    Turn the screw clockwise to bring the lever closer to the handlebar.

    3.    Turn it counterclockwise to move it farther away.

Important Tip:

If the screw is turned too much, it can cause the rear brake pads to rub against the rim.

After making your adjustments:

    •    Lift the rear of the bike by the seat.

    •    Spin the rear wheel.

    •    If it spins freely, you’re all set!

If the wheel doesn’t spin freely, simply back off the adjustment screw a bit until the rubbing stops.
